On the premiere of Thursday Night iMPACT! On AMC, Mike Santana dethroned Frankie Kazarian to reclaim the TNA World Championship. Moments later, Santana would fend off an opportunistic Nic Nemeth who attempted to call his shot. But now, Santana must defend against the former champion just two days later as Kazarian invokes his rematch clause at Genesis. However, this is no normal match. As revealed by Director of Authority Santino Marella and TNA Official Daria Rae, Santana and Kazarian will collide in a Texas Death Match with Call Your Shot Trophy holder Nic Nemeth serving as the Special Guest Referee.

At Final Resolution, The Righteous made their jaw-dropping arrival in TNA Wrestling as they confronted The Hardys, leading to series of cryptic mind games with the TNA World Tag Team Champions. During the Steel Cage Match between Team TNA and Team NXT, The Righteous attacked Matt Hardy and carried him out of the iMPACT! Zone, sending him on a psychological ride like no other. The Hardys made one thing abundantly clear: they're not here to play mind games, they're here to fight! And with that, the TNA World Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs at Genesis as The Righteous challenge The Hardys in a blockbuster showdown.

Due to visa issues, Dani Luna is unable to challenge Léi Yǐng Lee for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. However, being the fighting champion that she is, Lee would issue an open challenge on the premiere of Thursday Night iMPACT! On AMC, which was answered by NXT's Zaria. Now, Léi Yǐng Lee and Zaria are set to clash at Genesis with the coveted TNA Knockouts World Title on the line.

Say his name and he appears. NXT's Joe Hendry will compete in TNA Wrestling for the first time since October when he battles Moose and Cedric Alexander in a Triple Threat match at Genesis. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater was forced to withdraw from the match due to visa issues. With a new era upon us and the lights shining bright at TNA's first pay-per-view extravaganza of 2026, who will reign supreme?

At Final Resolution, Mustafa Ali was humiliated by Elijah when the leader of Order 4 was tied to a horse and dragged out of the iMPACT! Zone. Ali would retaliate by crashing Elijah's return concert, delivering a brutal assault with the guitar. Now, two of TNA's top stars are set to collide at Genesis as Elijah steps back into action against Mustafa Ali. Who will reign supreme at the first pay-per-view extravaganza of 2026?

JDC has made the emotional announcement that he will be retiring from in-ring competition this January at Genesis. Most recently as a loyal member of The System, JDC is an accomplished veteran of the sport, but recent life changes have persuaded him to hang up the boots. At Genesis, JDC will compete in his final match as he steps into the ring against a longtime friend and System ally, Eddie Edwards.

The brash and arrogant Ryan Nemeth has been a pestering thorn in the side of Mara Sadè for quite some time. After numerous superkicks to the face, he still doesn't get the message — she's not interested. Now, Mara Sadè will look to deliver another beatdown when she battles Ryan Nemeth at Genesis.

A.J. Francis tried to get Rich Swann to do his dirty work in an attempt to capture championship gold in TNA Wrestling. But enough was enough at Final Resolution when Swann refused to hit Leon Slater with the TNA X-Division Championship, and instead hit Francis with the belt to cost him his golden opportunity. No longer allies in FIR$T CLA$$, Francis would exact a measure of revenge when he delivered to Swann a thudding Down Payment through a table. Now, friends turned enemies will face off at Genesis in this personal clash.

After being betrayed by his daughter, Arianna Grace, Director of Authority Santino Marella has retaliated by putting her fiancé, Stacks, in a four-way bout with his TNA International Championship up for grabs. Challenging for the title will be Eric Young, B.D.E. and a mystery opponent who made their name in the great state of Texas. In a match where he doesn't have to be pinned to lose the title, the odds are certainly stacked against the champion.
