Mike Santana Becomes the New TNA World Champion at Bound For Glory
Mike Santana's Path of Purpose led him to the main event of TNA Wrestling's biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory, where he challenged NXT's Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship.
Following a grueling encounter and with his daughter watching from ringside, Santana fought through the adversity to defeat Williams, becoming TNA World Champion for the very first time.
After the bell, both Call Your Shot Gauntlet winners from earlier in the night, Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian, attempted to call their shot for a TNA World Title match. The returning Elijah would neutralize Nemeth before he could reach the ring, while Santana would thwart Kazarian with Spin the Block.
By way of his victory, Santana brings the TNA World Championship back home to TNA Wrestling, after it was in the possession of a WWE NXT Superstar since May.
