Leon Slater Steps Up to Oba Femi in NXT Championship Match at New Year's Evil
After becoming No. 1 Contender in a Fatal 4-Way Match, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater challenged Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at New Year's Evil.

With TNA President Carlos Silva watching on from ringside, Oba put his power on display in the early going.
Slater would create an opening by sending Oba crashing into the steel ring steps. Slater remained in control with an impressive Powerslam.

Later in the match, Slater soared through the air to wipe out Oba with Big Play Slater.

In the end, Oba Femi retained the NXT Championship after hitting Leon Slater with Fall From Grace.
Meanwhile, Shiloh Hill revealed that he will challenge Stacks for the TNA International Championship next Tuesday on NXT, as made official by Director of Authority Santino Marella and NXT General Manager Ava — that is, if Stacks can successfully defend his title against former champion Steve Maclin this Thursday on iMPACT!
