It was a big night of action in New York City as TNA Wrestling took part in the festivities at NXT Gold Rush Week One.

 

After DarkState made their presence felt during the TNA X-Division Title match between Leon Slater and Je'Von Evans at Bound For Glory, Slater and Evans joined forces to challenge Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin for the NXT Tag Team Titles.

The action was fast and furious as Slater and Evans dazzled with their innovative offense. But it didn't take long before DarkState used the numbers game to their advantage.

In the end, Evans inadvertently collided with Slater, allowing DarkState to connect with the Doomsday Device to score the victory.

 

Earlier in the night, Joe Hendry and Thea Hail challenged Ethan Page and Chelsea Green for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles.

Hail secured a Kimura on Green but Page would send Hendry crashing into them to break the hold. Green capitalized, putting Hail away with the Unpretty-her to retain the titles.

 

Next Tuesday at NXT Gold Rush Week Two, the TNA Knockouts World Championship is up for grabs as Kelani Jordan defends against Léi Yǐng Lee and Jordynne Grace.
