Leon Slater Earns NXT Championship Match vs. Oba Femi at NXT New Year's Evil
After an impressive showing at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater battled Joe Hendry, Myles Borne and Dion Lennox in a Fatal 4-Way Match for an NXT Championship opportunity January 6 at NXT New Year's Evil.

Despite tweaking his knee, Slater would push through the pain to deliver his signature Swanton 450 to Borne. Slater scored the pinfall, solidifying his spot as the No. 1 Contender to NXT Champion Oba Femi at New Year's Evil.

Meanwhile, Moose sent a physical message to Ethan Page after revealing that he will challenge Page for the NXT North American Championship on the December 30 episode of NXT. Moose is poised to bring an NXT title to TNA Wrestling.
