Cleveland Native Nic Nemeth Previews The TNA Wrestling Rebellion Showcase Event, To Be Held April 11 At The Wolstein Center In Cleveland
The stars of TNA Wrestling return to Cleveland for the first time since 2013 with the Rebellion showcase event on Saturday, April 11, airing live around the world on pay-per-view. Rebellion will be held at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University.
The action-packed, high-energy event will feature championship matches, grudge fights, and no doubt, surprise appearances.

To preview the Rebellion pay-per-view in Cleveland, former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth – a Cleveland native – returns home to speak with media on Thursday & Friday, April 9-10.
Nemeth’s match at Rebellion is drawing worldwide interest, especially after Cleveland Browns legendary quarterback Bernie Kosar confirmed he will be in Nemeth’s corner for the battle against former NFL player AJ Francis.
Kosar played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, leading the team to a national championship in 1983. He then played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns from 1985 to 1993, the Dallas Cowboys in 1993, and Miami Dolphins in 1994. He was a member of the 1993 Dallas Cowboys team that won Super Bowl XXVIII, serving as a backup quarterback behind Troy Aikman.

NIC NEMETH
Formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, Nic Nemeth made his TNA debut in January 2024 and had a lengthy, successful reign as the TNA World Champion. He also was half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions with his brother, Ryan Nemeth. A Cleveland native who graduated from Kent State University after setting several school records as a wrestler, Nic Nemeth made his pro wrestling debut in 2004. He was a champion in singles and tag team action during his 20-year career in WWE. He was a 2-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and 6-time Intercontinental Champion. Nemeth is a diehard fan of his hometown Cleveland Browns.
NIC NEMETH at KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
Nic Nemeth came into the Kent State Wrestling program in the fall of 1998 as one of the most decorated high school wrestlers at national powerhouse St. Edward Cleveland. He quickly became a standout on the college wrestling stage on his way to becoming one of just three Golden Flashes to be a four-time National Qualifier.
For three seasons, he led the team in wins with 30-plus win seasons from 2000-2003. The most success for him at the National Championships came in 2000, 2002, 2003 as he was a three-time All-American as well as a three-time Mid-American Conference Champion. He also led the team to a MAC regular season title his senior year.
The Cleveland native Nemeth is currently 6th all-time in program history with 121 wins and was inducted to the Varsity “K” Hall of Fame Class of 2016. Nemeth has remained an avid supporter of the Kent State Wrestling Program throughout his long and successful pro wrestling career.
