At Turning Point, Nic Nemeth racked up another successful TNA World Title defense over The System’s Eddie Edwards, albeit with involvement from John Layfield once again. But as the old saying goes, there’s no rest for the weary, especially when you’re the TNA World Champion. Just days later on iMPACT!, Nemeth was confronted by A.J. Francis, who claims that 2024 was his best year ever – and he’s looking to enter 2025 with the TNA World Title over his shoulder. Being a fighting champion, Nemeth accepted his challenge with no hesitation and the match was made official by Director of Authority Santino Marella! Will Nemeth close out 2024 as TNA World Champion? Or will Francis bring the gold to Fir$t Cla$$?
Masha Slamovich closed out her epic rivalry with Jordynne Grace in a grueling 2 Out of 3 Falls match at Turning Point and came out still the Knockouts World Champion. Jordynne’s woes would continue the following week on iMPACT! when, due to a distraction from Alisha Edwards, she was pinned by Tasha Steelz. After the match, Steelz and Alisha would deliver a 2-on-1 beatdown to Grace until Slamovich evened the odds. With Tasha’s big win over “The Juggernaut”, she has now earned a coveted Knockouts World Title shot against Slamovich, set for Final Resolution! Who will leave Atlanta as Knockouts World Champion?
Who will challenge for the TNA World Championship at Genesis? That question will be answered at the final TNA+ LIVE Special of 2024, Final Resolution. Four of TNA’s top stars will collide as Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, Mike Santana and Steve Maclin all vie for a shot at the biggest prize in TNA Wrestling. Everyone wants to be the champ but only one will earn the opportunity in this 4-way showdown where anything goes!
At Bound For Glory, The Hardys dethroned The System in a 3-Way Full Metal Mayhem match, also involving ABC, to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions. Recently on iMPACT!, The System received their contractual rematch for the titles, but the match ended prematurely when Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers put The Hardys through a table. Now the two rival teams are set to face off once more, but this time it will be a Tables match!
Moose added yet another milestone to his long list of accolades in TNA when he defeated Mike Bailey to become X-Division Champion for the very first time. Following a successful defense over Laredo Kid at Turning Point, a new #1 Contender was crowned when KUSHIDA toppled Ace Austin, Trent Seven, Leon Slater and JDC on iMPACT. What will happen when KUSHIDA challenges Moose for the X-Division Championship at Final Resolution? Tune in to find out!
