At NXT No Mercy, former best friends and 2/3 of The Rascalz, Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz, clashed in an all-out war, reigniting their rivalry from their days as MSK.
Zachary Wentz unleashed his frustration on his former best friend right at the start of the match!
Right when Wes about to take out Wentz with a steel chair it was the 3rd Rascal Trey Miguel who stopped it by grabbing the chair! Wentz turned things around nailed Wes with his signature cutter securing the victory for the Rascalz and TNA!
After Wentz’s victory over Wes Lee, he and Trey have set their sights on NXT Tag Team gold. They’ve issued a challenge to Axiom and Nathan Frazer on WWE NXT!
Trick Williams told Joe Hendry that he believes in him, but he’ll call the match straight down the middle. Hendry responded that he wouldn’t expect it any other way and doubled down on his promise: when he beats Ethan Page for the NXT Championship, Trick will be the first in line for a shot!
The stage is set for the NXT World Championship match! The Denver crowd erupted when “Say his name and he appears” echoed through the arena!
Joe Hendry showcased his strength early in the match!
The match descended into chaos when Joe Hendry hit the Standing Ovation and was on the verge of winning the NXT Championship. However, Trick Williams noticed Ethan Page’s foot under the bottom rope and stopped the count. Taking advantage of Hendry’s shock, Page shoved him into Trick Williams and low blowed Hendry!
Ethan Page responded with a Standing Ovation of his own, but Hendry kicked out! Frustrated, Page grabbed his NXT Championship and DDT’d Hendry onto it. As the second referee was about to count to three, Trick Williams intervened, but it was too late. Page followed up with a low blow, and the Egos Edge leaving Trick no choice but to count the three, securing the victory for Page.
