With Rebellion quickly approaching later this month, the action continues from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia! Don’t miss an all-new TNA iMPACT! this Thursday at 8/7c on AXS TV and 8:30pm ET on YouTube for Insiders!
Nic Nemeth’s road to Rebellion has just hit a roadblock. As professional wrestling’s most “Wanted Man” prepares to challenge Moose for the TNA World Championship, he must first get past a former TNA World Champion in his own right, Alex Shelley. Last week, Shelley interrupted Nemeth during a backstage interview, and forced his hand into accepting a match between the two veterans. With issues still prevalent between Shelley and his allies in Time Machine, Shelley looks to make a statement on his own. This Thursday, it’s a first-time-ever Generational Clash between two of the very best and the only place you can see it is on TNA iMPACT!
Ash By Elegance has been on a roll since arriving in TNA Wrestling, collecting dominant victories in her first three matchups. But when it was time for Ash to compete in the 8-4-1 match for a shot at the coveted Knockouts World Title, she removed herself from the match due to “cosmetic touchups”. As Ash was watching the bout from ringside, Xia Brookside was sent crashing into her. Ash then took it upon herself to send Brookside face-first into the steel ring post, resulting in her ejection from the iMPACT! Zone. This Thursday, Xia Brookside steps up to Ash By Elegance in singles action as the rising star looks to make her mark against the world-renowned veteran!
As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Last week, X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali was pleading his case to Director of Authority Santino Marella that Jake Something should not be able to challenge him for the X-Division Championship at Rebellion due to his size. Marella reminded Ali that the X-Division is, in fact, not about weight limits, it’s about no limits. Marella said that even someone like Rhino could compete in the X-Division. After Ali began to badmouth Rhino, the “War Machine” appeared behind him and laid out the challenge for an Old School Rules match. While the X-Division Title won’t be on the line, there will be no disqualifications, no count outs and no shortage of weapons in the arena famous for taking things to the extreme!
After Chris Bey was unable to become #1 Contender for the X-Division Championship, his partner in ABC, Ace Austin, questioned Bey’s pursuit of singles gold instead of the TNA World Tag Team Championship. Bey reminded Austin that he recently picked a fight with Frankie Kazarian on his own, and now it’s his turn to stand up for ABC. Meanwhile, Kazarian takes to the ring just a few weeks away from his Full Metal Mayhem match against fierce rival Eric Young at Rebellion. Buckle up for intense action on iMPACT!
