The road to Bound For Glory rages on from Graceland Live in Memphis, TN. Don’t miss an all-new IMPACT! this Thursday at 8/7c on AXS TV and 8:30pm ET on YouTube for IMPACT Insiders.
Last week, the greatest fight in Knockouts history closed the curtain on IMPACT Wrestling’s monumental celebration of 1000 episodes. After taking out Gisele Shaw with an Implant Buster, Awesome Kong stood tall alongside Knockouts World Champion Trinity, Mickie James, IMPACT Hall of Famer Gail Kim, Jordynne Grace and Raisha Saeed. This Thursday, “The Quintessential Diva” looks to bounce back when she battles Trinity in singles competition. Will Shaw reclaim the spotlight? Or will Trinity continue to glow on the road to Bound For Glory?
As Mike Bailey prepares to lock up with pro wrestling megastar Will Ospreay at Bound For Glory, he must first overcome “The Octopus” this Thursday. Mike Bailey and Jonathan Gresham have been embroiled in a friendly rivalry since the early months of 2023 and in their four matches to date, two have been won by Gresham, one has been won by Bailey and the other concluded in a no contest. Meanwhile, Gresham feels that he has been forced to compete in matches with non-traditional rules during his time in IMPACT and Bailey is willing to give him what he wants – a classic singles contest. Can “Speedball” build momentum en route to what is perhaps the biggest match of his career? Or will Gresham prove why he’s one of the most dangerous competitors on the roster today?
It was just two weeks ago when Chris Sabin reclaimed the X-Division Title from Lio Rush, becoming a record-setting 10-time X-Division Champion in the process. But as the old saying goes, there’s no rest for the weary, as Sabin must put his title on the line this Thursday. Challenging him will be “The Celestial” Alan Angels, who became #1 Contender by outlasting five other competitors in Ultimate X – albeit with the use of multiple low blows. Is Sabin’s X-Division Title reign just getting started? Or will Angels spoil the party on IMPACT?
Tommy Dreamer blew the roof off the Westchester County Center when he defeated Kenny King not only to become the new Digital Media Champion, but to keep his career alive at Victory Road. Just when it looked like Sheldon Jean was going to play a vital role in King escaping with the W, it was Heath who evened the odds and blindsided King with a Wake-Up Call. With King’s sights set on reclaiming the Digital Media Title, revenge is in the air this Thursday. Don’t miss it when Tommy Dreamer and Heath battle Kenny King and Sheldon Jean in an anything goes Memphis Street Fight!
Earlier this year, Steve Maclin nearly ended Rhino‘s career when he viciously assaulted him following their IMPACT World Title match in Chicago. Rhino gained a measure of retribution when he made his shocking return and cost Maclin a briefcase in Feast or Fired – but “The War Machine” wouldn’t stop there. Last week, Rhino GORED Maclin in the backstage area and warned Director of Authority Santino Marella that whatever happens next is on Maclin’s hands. This Thursday, brace yourself for Rhino’s return to action!
During the Feast or Fired briefcase reveal, we learned that Yuya Uemura was in possession of the dreaded pink slip. This means that his dreams of becoming “champions” alongside Joe Hendry will not be coming true and unfortunately, Uemura will be forced to leave IMPACT Wrestling. This Thursday, we part ways with Yuya Uemura during a special Goodbye Ceremony.
The action begins Before the IMPACT, streaming this Thursday at 7:15pm ET exclusively on YouTube, IMPACT Plus (live player) and Facebook. Top tag teams jockey for position as Sami Callihan and Rich Swann battle Laredo Kid and Black Taurus! Plus, Gia Miller, Josh Mathews and George Iceman get you ready for all things IMPACT.
