Tommy Dreamer has prepared an extreme lineup of matches for this afternoon’s event on IMPACT Plus. Welcome to Hardcore Justice!
The three competitors in the X-Division Title match at Rebellion were tasked by Tommy Dreamer to find a partner for this 3-way tag tonight. IMPACT veteran Petey Williams makes his return to the ring to fight alongside fellow Canadian, Josh Alexander! Petey looks impressive in the early going as he hits TJP with a Hurricanrana. Ace and Fulton begin to wear Fallah down in their corner of the ring, preventing him from making the tag. Fulton hits Alexander with a thunderous powerslam, followed by a helicopter leg drop from Ace. Fallah runs through Fulton with a big crossbody. Alexander and Petey lock in side-by-side submissions until TJP and Fallah break things up! Fulton connects with a double chokeslam on TJP and Alexander. Moments later, TJP takes out everyone with running boots in the corner. Alexander gets his knees up on a Mamba Splash attempt, allowing Petey to capitalize with the Candian Destroyer! Alexander forces Fallah to submit with the ankle lock to score the victory.
After Hernandez used a chair in their tag match on BTI, these two giants collide one-on-one but this time, steel chairs are legal! Shera is first to use a chair as he powerslams Hernandez back-first onto the steel. The fight spills to the outside where Shera continues the assault with a chair shot to the back. Hernandez quickly turns the tide with his own powerslam through two chairs! Shera hits a big Spinebuster for two. Shera hits a superplex into a heap of chairs but Hernandez somehow kicks out. In an attempt to make amends with Shera, Rohit Raju clocks Hernandez with a steel chair shot from behind! Shera pins him for the three count to win.
After an altercation inside Swinger’s Palace, Tommy Dreamer announces a Mystery Crate match between Johnny Swinger and Matt Cardona later tonight!
The Good Brothers look to gain momentum heading into their World Tag Team Title rematch against FinJuice when Doc Gallows battles Black Taurus in singles action. Taurus runs at Gallows with a burst of speed from the opening bell. Gallows avoids a springboard crossbody and takes Taurus off his feet with a big clothesline. Gallows distracts the referee while Anderson attacks Taurus at ringside. Gallows sends Taurus crashing over the guardrail and onto the floor! Taurus soars with a top rope dropkick for a very close near fall. Anderson provides a distraction from ringside, allowing Doc to capitalize with a sitdown chokeslam to win.
Eric Young sends a message to Violent By Design’s opponents in Hardcore War tonight, the team of Tommy Dreamer, IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards.
There are four mystery crates on each of the ring posts – whatever is inside of them can be legally used in the match! Swinger is the first to open a crate and he finds a framed photo of Scott Hall. Swinger knocks Cardona off the apron, sending him into the steel guardrail. Swinger opens another crate but it comes back to bite him as his hand gets stuck in a rat trap! Both men are down after a clash of heads. Swinger finds brass knuckles in his next crate but Cardona puts him away with Radio Silence before he can use them!
Whatever is in the fourth and final crate, Cardona likes it and takes it with him to the back!
Despite not being booked for the event, Sami Callihan comes out to the ring. Callihan looks to teach Trey Miguel another lesson – to take what he wants. Callihan wants a match on Hardcore Justice so he lays out an open challenge which is anwered by one of Trey’s students, Sam Beale!
Callihan immediately takes control as he bites the hand of Beale. Callihan continues to outclass his opponent with an Exploder suplex on the floor. Beale almost pins Callihan with a series of rollups. Callihan refocuses, then connects with a vicious Package Piledriver to win.
This match came about after Brian Myers interrupted a bout between Jake Something and Matt Cardona on IMPACT! Myers would go on to injure Jake’s eye by driving it into the steel ring steps. Tonight, both competitors will be blindfolded in a match with no disqualifications and no countouts! As they try to find their footing, the fight spills to the outside where Myers successfully lands a shot with a trash can lid. Myers plants him to the mat but attempts a pin while Jake is lying on his stomach! Jake rolls through and hits a sitdown powerbomb for two. Myers uses the referee as a shield, then takes off his blindfold to connect with a superkick! Matt Cardona comes to ringside with the mystery crate from earlier and slides it to Jake. Jake swings at Myers as the crate explodes open with action figures! Jake hits the Black Hole Slam to score the victory.
Tommy Dreamer, IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards get pumped up for tonight’s Hardcore War against Violent By Design.
While Susan is making her entrance, she’s attacked by her alter-ego, the terrifying Su Yung! Su replaces Susan in this match where the winner will become #1 contender for the Knockouts Title. The bell rings and Tenille immediately retreats to the floor. Su, Havok and Rosemary take part in an Undead Realm reunion before attacking each other! Everyone surrounds Tenille as Alisha prepares to use a staple gun! Kaleb With a K sacrifices himself but ends up getting stapled for his actions! Jordynne hits Alisha with a sidewalk slam into a steel trash can. Susan sends Jordynne head-first into a steel chair. Moments later, Rosemary spears Su before locking in Upside Down on Jordynne! Rosemary introduces a bag of thumbtacks but Alisha uses them to her advantage on the floor. Just like Eddie Edwards has Kenny the kendo stick, Alisha has his wife, Kendra! Su locks in the bloody glove Mandible Claw on Alisha and they brawl to the back. Havok is perched on the top rope when Nevaeh appears at ringside and blinds her with powder! Jordynne capitalizes with the Vader Bomb but Kaleb pulls her off the pin. Tenille rushes into the ring to steal the pin and become #1 contender!
At Swinger’s Palace, James Storm and Chris Sabin have been playing drinking games with XXXL all night long. Tensions boil over and things get physical as Swinger’s Palace gets trashed!
In addition to the high-stakes stipulation, this match will be contested under Old School Rules meaning there are no disqualifications and anything goes. Jazz hits a spin kick for an early two count. Deonna quickly turns things around by targeting the arm of Jazz as she prepares to lock in the Fujiwara Armbar. Deonna traps Jazz in the ropes, then delivers a pinpoint dropkick that sends her to the floor. Jazz creates separation and brings the fight to the outside where she whips Deonna into the steel ring post. Jazz lands a series of strikes, then connects with a modified X Factor for two! Jazz pays homage to Tommy Dreamer with a DDT onto a steel chair but Deonna kicks out! Deonna fights out of a double underhook and hits Queen’s Gambit to score the victory, effectively ending the career of Jazz.
In an emotional post-match moment, Jordynne Grace comes out and raises the arm of Jazz as the realization sets in that her legendary wrestling career has come to an end.
Tommy Dreamer has been attacked moments before tonight’s Hardcore War and Dr Ross will not clear him for competition!
The rules for Hardcore War are as follows: Two men start alone for 5 minutes. Every 2 minutes a new man enters from alternating teams. The match cannot end until the final man has entered. After all 8 men have entered, the match is won by pinfall or submission. There are no disqualifications and Violent By Design will have the numbers advantage after winning the coin toss.
Deaner and Eddie Edwards are the first two competitors. Suspecting that VBD may be responsible for the attack on Tommy Dreamer, Eddie jumpstarts the match with a vengeful burst of offense! Eddie connects with a Backpack Stunner as the next member of VBD is set to enter the match. Rhino makes his way to the ring with a pool cue and VBD gains their first numbers advantage. Willie Mack evens the odds with Kenny the kendo stick and a steel chain. Willie places a toaster between the legs of Deaner, then whips him with the chain! Hardcore War continues as Joe Doering enters, once again turning this into a handicap match. The beatdown rolls on before IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann comes bearing gifts in the form of a table and a street sign! Momentum shifts as the trio lays in a beatdown on Violent By Design. Eric Young is the final entrant for VBD as he introduces a hockey stick into Hardcore War! Two minutes later, the clock for the final member of Team Dreamer hits zero and Trey Miguel’s music hits! It appears as though Scott D’Amore has replaced Dreamer with Trey – let the Hardcore War begin! Trey is on fire as he hits a double dive to both Young and Deaner on the floor. Doering shuts Trey down by hitting a massive running crossbody. Rhino drives Swann through a table for two! There’s a huge Tower of Doom out of the corner. Trey hits Doering with a Meteora to send him through a table on the outside. Amidst the chaos, Young connects with a Piledriver on Willie to score the pin and award Violent By Design the victory.
Violent By Design stand tall as Hardcore Justice goes off the air.
