Trick Williams Attacked by Joe Hendry After Retaining TNA World Title on WWE NXT
As the road to Slammiversary continued, Trick Williams put the TNA World Championship on the line against Josh Briggs this week on WWE NXT!
Yoshiki Inamura watched on from ringside, after pinning Trick in last week’s six-man tag team match.
Williams hit a big Trick Kick to gain the advantage. Minutes later, Briggs countered into a Chokeslam but Trick grabbed the bottom rope in order to break the count.
The closing moments of this back and forth contest saw Briggs miss a top rope Moonsault, allowing Trick to capitalize with the Trick Shot to win.
After the match, former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry was unleashed as he attacked Trick Williams from behind!
Next Tuesday on NXT, Wes Lee of The High Ryze will look to take out Joe Hendry when they go one-on-one.
